Up early the next day, like nearly every day on the trip, we were on the bus and out to the Koala Park. Marlice arranged for us to enter the park before it opened to the public so we could enjoy it by ourselves. We got to mingle with Koala Bears and kangaroos and see fruit bats and a dingo.

Oh yes and pet a wombat.

Koala bears only eat eucalyptus leaves and sleep 19 hours a day.

Some kids just never want to leave home no matter how big they get!

We went on to tour the Olympic stadium outside of Sydney.
We then made our way back into the city for an afternoon of wandering around
the city and checking out the views.

Yes, they do drive on the opposite side of the road.
This is the view from that tall “crows nest” looking structure
seen in earlier pictures called the AMP Tower Centre Point.

Views near our hotel and the Royal Botanic Gardens across the street.

St. Mary’s Cathedral I think. Walked to Chinatown for dinner and then back to the hotel to pack for Melbourne.
