Hope your summer is going great and you are getting at least 20 minutes of sunlight on your skin daily to build up your stores of vitamin D.
With the coming of Fall, you will start to get inundated with information about flu shots. This year they are gearing up for an even bigger push since they want everyone to get a swine flu shot as well. Some reports suggest that you may be receiving as many as 4 shots if you opt for the flu shots. I have always been opposed to shooting this mixture of dead viruses, mercury, aluminum and formaldehyde into anyone's body. This year is no different.
Is the Swine
Flu a real viral infection that someone could get or just a made-up story?
It is a real viral infection that some speculate may be a man-made virus
and not something found in the wild. All conspiracy theories aside, you
need to get some real information on this virus and how to make good decisions
as to whether or not you should get the shots. I listened to an interesting
tele-seminar by Dr. Sherry Tenpenny last week on the swine flu. If her
name sounds familiar, it is because we have her video on vaccinations
in our office for anyone who wants to borrow it to learn from a doctor
who used to vaccinate everyone to become a doctor who pretty much vaccinates
no one. Her talk on the Swine Flu situation was very interesting and can
be found at here
if you are interested in listening to it.
There is another tele-seminar about Swine Flu coming up on Thursday August 6th at 7 PM. This one is done by Dr. Eisenstein, MD and you can register to hear it live at https://www2.gotomeeting.com/register/437482251 before Thursday evening. You need to be informed of the pro's and the con's of these flu shots and to make up your own mind about these shots for you and your family before you get pressured into doing something you don't want to do. If you want some comedic relief check out this short UTube clip.
These are additives that help turbo charge the vaccine so that you won't need as much of it. The problem is that these additives can cause all sorts of damage to the body. This is part of what caused autoimmune illnesses in our Gulf War veterans. For a more in-depth discussion check out Dr. Mercola's web site.
Now if you want to read about some of the conspiracy theories, the best place to be informed is Dr. Leonard Horowitz's site: www.fluscam.com and check out his video. I think in every conspiracy theory you can find some truth. How much is true is up to you to decide. He has written lots of books and is well educated in science and public health. He does promote colloidal silver as the solution for the virus and that part I disagree with. It has a mild anti-viral and anti-bacterial effect but it is also putting more of a metal in your body which you don't need. Instead, I like the different herbs and my immune tonic that I talked about in the Prevention section of the May Newsletter. http://drcraigreese.com/Newsletters09/may09newsletter.htm
It is too early to tell exactly what is in the bill but a lot of what I hear I don't like. The one thing I did like was the suggestion put forth by a congressman that whatever gets passed, Congress should have to be under the same system as everyone else. You can sign his petition, so he can show his fellow members of Congress that you agree, at his website: http://fleming.house.gov/index.html
For any of our patients who have been interested in Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression (NSSD) but have not been evaluated, we will evaluate you for free to see if you are a candidate for decompression treatments. If you are, we will give you a 30% discount off the normal full price of the treatment to get you started on your way to feeling better. Chronic neck and back pain as well as herniated discs and facet syndrome respond well to NSSD. Sorry, not everyone is a candidate for treatment but you might be.
Twitter and Facebook
Slowly but surely I am coming into the 21st century. We can be found on twitter.com/DrCraigReese for periodic postings. I go on my Facebook page less often and may change the format to make it more informative.
Some of you have wanted to be seen on Friday's when we are not normally here. For the month of August, we are going to be in the office from 9-12 on Friday mornings to see what the real demand is for Friday's. For the next 4-5 weeks, with Diana in the office doing her internship for her Medical Assistant's training, we have the extra help to pull it off. If Friday's are in high demand we will most likely keep it as a normal part of the schedule.
Labor Day this
year is on Monday the 7th. I will be on vacation that week but the office
will be open for supplements and Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression. I
will be back in the office on Monday September 14th.
Amber is starting college this month so I will be out of the office Wednesday August 19th to help her move in to her dorm. I also will be gone the next afternoon for Parent Orientation but I will be here on Friday morning to help anyone who needs to be seen. So don't forget Friday's in August we will be here until noon.
