Hope you are having a great summer!  Colorado is a pretty good place to hang out during the summer with all the things you can enjoy outdoors.  It’s also a great time to be in the gym because it’s pretty empty every morning with the athletes moving outside to exercise.

Possible Cancer Cure
We all know that exercise is good for reducing your risk of developing heart disease, diabetes, cancer, etc.  The latest animal research showed that exercise reduced breast tumor size in mice compared to the sedentary control group.  They also saw that exercise with chemo was more effective than chemo alone.  Now animal studies don’t necessarily directly correlate to human reaction but this study has sparked human trials to begin.
Unfortunately, that data will take years before it’s available.  The other problem is that the only people allowed in the study are terminal Stage 4 cancer patients who have exhausted all other traditional AMA treatments.  That is a tough group to get any positive results with regardless of the therapy.  It’s almost like the study was designed to fail from the beginning.

I don’t think it’s a good idea to wait for the results of this study if you have cancer.  I would start to gently exercise now to help your body try to heal.  I’ve seen what chemo and radiation treatments do to people and they are hard pressed to move out of bed or off the couch.  Just gentle walking or peddling a stationary bike will get your blood circulating and help your body’s immune system address the tumors.  (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/?term=Modulation+of+Murine+Breast+Tumor+Vascularity%2C+Hypoxia%2C+and+Chemotherapeutic+Response+by+Exercise)
I also like sitting in a sauna and sweating for 10-30 minutes a day while drinking ½-1 liter of water.  Increasing your body temperature plus sweating out the toxins has been shown to help all kinds of health problems.  An infrared sauna in your house would be even better than going to the local gym or Rec Center!

High cholesterol 'does not cause heart disease' new research finds, so treating with statins a 'waste of time'
This was the title of an article in the 6/12 2016 UK Telegraph.  Sound familiar?  It’s what we in natural medicine have been saying for decades.  With socialized medicine in the UK, they are more interested in results that lower costs than in driving drug sales.  Researchers found that as people age, the people with higher LDL (so-called “bad cholesterol”) actually lived longer.  Of course this study will be heavily attacked by those with a vested interest to keep the statins flowing.  The article also had some incorrect statements made by “experts” claiming that heart disease is caused by eating cholesterol which is not true.  http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/2016/06/12/high-cholesterol-does-not-cause-heart-disease-new-research-finds/

When I see high cholesterol on a blood test there are 4 things I look for: high blood sugar, liver problems a weak thyroid and with cholesterol or triglycerides over 300, a genetic cause.  Research has shown repeatedly that half the people who die from heart disease have normal cholesterol levels.  It is inflammation and nutritional deficiencies that cause damage to your blood vessels and require your body to lay down cholesterol and calcium in your arteries to save you from springing a leak.
Cholesterol is so important to the body that your liver makes about 80-90% of the cholesterol circulating in your body.  Stop eating cholesterol completely and your liver will make 100% of it.  It is vital to your brain, nerves, immunes system, muscles, hormone production, etc.  Also, there is only one cholesterol in your body, not good or bad.  Surprise…HDL and LDL are not cholesterol.  They are lipoproteins that transport cholesterol in your blood stream.

When research couldn’t prove high total cholesterol didn’t correlate to heart deaths they switched to LDL’s.  Now that LDL isn’t holding up as a cause they are switching to Lp(a) as a lipoprotein particle that is really the culprit.  So they developed more expensive lipo-protein particle tests to identify these scary little elements that are supposedly killing you.  The problem is that these new highly specific tests have not lowered deaths from heart disease but has increased the number of statin prescriptions written.
The cholesterol-caused heart disease theory has been disproven repeatedly over the last 40 plus years but we can’t let that stand in the way of selling drugs!  I suggest you do your own research on this scam of the century on places like https://drmalcolmkendrick.org, http://www.ravnskov.nu/uffe, Mercola.com, etc.  You do not have a statin or aspirin deficiency and they are not vitamins, minerals or fatty acids that we need daily to be healthy.
